“India are the ‘favourites’ to win and achieve the Trophy of the Cricket World Cup 2019”, according to Sachin Tendulkar.
Virat Kohli will attempt to lead India to a third World Cup triumph this summer when the grand tournament comes to England. Hosts England are the No. 1 ranked cricket team in the world, having won 41 of their last 54 one-day internationals since the last World Cup in 2015.
But Tendulkar said: “As far as our chances are concerned, I will not hesitate in saying that we are the favorites. I have gone on record saying that we have a perfect balance in the team where we will be competitive in any part of the world or on any surface.”
ICC Cricket World Cup 2019
We all are waiting for the ICC Cricket World cup 2019 which will begin on May 30, 2019. This Cricket world cup is scheduled to be played in England and Wales. Only a few months are left before the commencement of this world cup.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the complete schedule of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. 48 matches will be played in this 45 days of the tournament. And 10 teams will clash and play against each other for a trophy. This biggest event of the cricket world cup to be held in England will begin on May 30. The first world cup match 2019 will be played between the host England and South Africa at The Oval ground.
On June 1, the defending champion Australia and qualifier champion Afghanistan will compete for winning against each other in Bristol. Team India, who is world champion 2 times, will play their first match of World Cup 2019 against South Africa on June 5. The 10 teams, including Team India, will participate in this grand cricket tournament. The Cricket World Cup will be held till 14th of July. India will play against their Arch Rival Pakistan for the trophy on June 16 in Manchester.
